Need Official Warrant Information?
The county courthouse is at 300 S. Grand Ave., Cherokee, OK 73728. The county contact directory separates the Court Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, judges, and District Attorney. Use the office that matches the record type.

Alfalfa County Sheriff
Suite 1, 300 S. Grand Ave.
Cherokee, OK 73728
580-596-3269
The page says the Sheriff serves District Court warrants and process. It does not publish a direct warrant line or surrender schedule.
The Sheriff lists sheriff@alfalfa.okcounties.org and fax 580-596-2244. Confirm whether those channels accept a particular records request before sending sensitive information.
Where Court Records Belong
- District Court case: Alfalfa County Court Clerk, OSCN, or ODCR.
- District Court service: Alfalfa County Sheriff.
- City ordinance or traffic: the municipal court, police, or city custodian named on the citation.
- Tax or real-property warrant: Alfalfa County Clerk, a separate office.
- Federal matter: Western District of Oklahoma, PACER, or U.S. Marshals channels.
The county contact directory lists public offices. The Where Do I? page routes traffic tickets and court costs to the Court Clerk and tax warrants or releases to the County Clerk.
Municipal Contact Limits
Cherokee’s official police page and municipal code provide the clearest city route, but the police page and staff directory show different non-emergency numbers. Verify the current number before calling. No current official municipal portal was located for Helena, Carmen, Goltry, Jet, or several other towns in the dated state table.
Use the citation to identify the issuing city. Do not treat the county Sheriff or Court Clerk as the city-court clerk unless an official source says the record belongs to District Court.
Records Requests in Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1–24A.30, directs a request to the specific custodian. The Oklahoma Attorney General request page explains that the AG does not process another agency’s records.
Describe a narrow category, court or agency, date range, case or citation number, desired format, and request for a fee estimate. Ask for segregable non-exempt material. Section 51 O.S. §24A.8(A)(6) includes warrant dispositions subject to exemptions, but it does not guarantee an unredacted file.
Contact Safety and Scam Checks
Official agencies do not demand immediate preemptive bail, cryptocurrency, or a payment link sent through an unsolicited message. Stop the call and dial the Court Clerk, Sheriff, or city contact from an official page. The Oklahoma AG’s 2025 warning explains the scam pattern.
For legal advice, contact an Oklahoma attorney or legal-aid resource identified through a court source. The District Attorney prosecutes and is not a defense lawyer.
